Does it kind of feel like the joy has been sucked out of life lately? I honestly thought it was just me - stuck in my little corner of the world, feeling bored, unmotivated, and a little blah.

But a couple days ago, I listened to a Mel Robbins podcast that hit so hard. She was talking about this exact thing - how so many of us have lost our sense of fun. Her episode was inspired by a post that’s so powerful, I’m going to read it to you and share the text in images, because it deserves to be fel

If you’ve listened to Mel before, you know she’s SO good.
And if you haven’t — well, you might just fall in love with a new podcast.

It turns out this isn’t just me (or you). It’s everywhere.
We’ve become addicted to watching other people live their lives. Think about the last time you went out to eat - how many people were laughing, being loud, and having fun? And how many were scrolling their phones or saying things like, “Oh, I saw this on IG”?

That addiction to our devices hasn’t just dulled our ability to play, laugh, and connect - it’s made us afraid to live outside the norm. We see everyone else’s perfectly planned fun, vacations, and highlight reels, and suddenly, our real lives feel… dull in comparison.

But that’s the problem. It’s sucked the joy right out of us.

When Mel started sharing her simple, real-life ways to bring fun back, it was like a breath of fresh air. Because let’s be real - none of us have extra time to plan big, elaborate adventures. But with a few small shifts, we can add more joy and playfulness into our days without adding anything to our calendar.

Here are her 6 tips that I’ve already started practicing since I listened to that episode:
1️⃣ Dance to one song a day
2️⃣ Say yes to something playful
3️⃣ Laugh - on purpose
4️⃣ Be silly with your people
5️⃣ Do one thing just for you
6️⃣ Notice small moments that make you smile

And can I just say… my mood is already lighter.
I feel happier. More alive. More me.

We need to bring back the fun.
The joy.
The conversations that don’t revolve around someone else’s Instagram life.
The silly. The messy. The moments that make us feel alive again.

Let’s start a revolution - a fun one. 🎉
Which one of these will you try first?
